Situation in Toretsk — report by Luhansk OTG
The situation in Toretsk remains the most difficult. Since the beginning of the day, the Russians have carried out 11 assaults, some of which are still ongoing.
This was reported by Anastasia Bobovnikova, a spokeswoman for the Luhansk Operational and Tactical Group, on the air of the United News telethon.
What is known about the situation in Toretsk
A representative of the Luhansk OTG said that fighting for every house in Toretsk is ongoing.
"The situation here is really very tense... You need to understand that somewhere they (the Russians — Ed.) can advance by one house, and literally the next day we are already taking back this house," Bobovnikova told.
According to her, the enemy has become more active and started using equipment, in particular on the northern outskirts of Toretsk, in Nelipyvtsi village. Over the past day, there was fighting there with the use of armored personnel carriers, buggies and motorcycles. Also, armored personnel carriers and tanks were used near Chasovyi Yar.
"In urban areas, they (tanks and armored personnel carriers — Ed.) are not as effective and difficult to maneuver, so they are usually not used. However, for several days in a row we have been observing a situation where a tank moves out in front of Chasovyi Yar, fires from closed positions and does not always return. Literally every day we have a good catch. Recently, a T-90M "Breakthrough" was destroyed in this area. This is the newest tank of the Russian Federation," a spokeswoman for the Luhansk OTG said.
Earlier, Anastasia Bobovnikova explained why Russians use scooters and golf carts in the Toretsk sector. The occupiers resort to such actions because it is ineffective to use heavy armored vehicles on the streets, where there is a lot of debris on the roads.
As a reminder, the military released photos from Toretsk. The city is constantly under attack by GABs and artillery — it has been almost completely destroyed.
