Marco Rubio, a Republican senator in the US state of Florida, has declared a deadlock in the war in Ukraine. He believes that it should be "brought to an end".

Rubio said this on the Today show on Wednesday, November 6.

Republican's statement on the war in Ukraine

Rubio noted that "there is no one who doesn't want the war to end".

"I think the Ukrainians have been incredibly brave and strong in standing up to Russia. But at the end of the day, what we are funding here is a stalemate war, and it has to be brought to an end," he said.

According to him, Donald Trump, who won the US presidential election, "wants the war to end".

Earlier, Trump had repeatedly criticized the large financial packages that the United States provided to Ukraine to strengthen its defense. He also claimed that he could allegedly end hostilities within 24 hours of his election victory.

To recap, according to MP Yehor Cherniev, the United States is not ready to increase the budget to support Ukraine.

And the Financial Times has calculated how much the presidential election cost Kamala Harris and Donald Trump.
