Syrskyi held a meeting with the commanders of the Armed Forces of Ukraine

"I held a working meeting with the leadership of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on strengthening air defense and increasing its effectiveness," Syrskyi noted.

The Commander-in-Chief added that he heard reports from the commander of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, commanders of air defense troops, army aviation of the Ground Forces, Unmanned Systems Forces, as well as the head of the Main Directorate of Radio Electronic Warfare and Cybersecurity of the General Staff.

During the meeting, specific steps were identified to strengthen the protection of Ukrainian skies. Heads of departments received tasks with clear deadlines for the implementation of relevant measures.

Attention was also paid to the implementation of innovations and developments of the Ukrainian defense complex.

Syrskyi added that the control bodies of the air commands have begun to actively implement automation complexes, which will increase the effectiveness of the destruction of enemy air targets.

"We continue to fill the Air Force with modern electronic warfare systems. This will increase the reliability of the protection of objects that are protected from air strikes," Syrskyi added.

Critical Infrastructure Protection

One of the key tasks, according to the Commander-in-Chief, is to provide anti-aircraft cover for critical infrastructure facilities.

The head of the department of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine reported on the capabilities of the Russian invaders to launch missile and air strikes on critical infrastructure facilities of Ukraine and predict their further actions in the airspace.

With the participation of the director of the Department for Critical Infrastructure Protection of the State Special Communications Service, they analyzed in detail the implementation of plans for the protection of critical infrastructure facilities and clarified the procedure for further joint actions for the winter period.

Previously, we reported that Syrskyi had a telephone conversation with the Chief of the Defence Staff of the UK, Admiral Antony Radakin. They talked about launching strikes deep into Russian territory.

It should be recalled, that on October 12, Syrskyi stated that the Defense Forces are successfully using drones to destroy enemy air facilities.
