Russia has gained new capabilities to produce Iranian Shahed drones. Thus, it can produce even more attack drones.

This was stated by Valerii Riabykh on Espreso, military expert and development director of the information and consulting company Defense Express.

Russia can produce even more Shahed UAVs

In September, a record number of Shaheds were used against Ukraine which indicates some nuances, the expert explained.

"Currently, Russia is getting new opportunities to produce Shaheds. September was a record month for the use of these terrorist devices by Russian terrorists. In particular, an unprecedented number of 1339 drones were used, which is an average of 44 Shaheds per day," Ryabykh said.

He added that Russia wants to reach such a daily production rate that the Shaheds could be used on a permanent basis.

"Thus, the Russians are now approaching an average of launching up to 50 drones per day, moving toward their constant use," the military expert said.

How Ukraine will respond

Meanwhile, Ukraine's Defense Forces are enhancing their capabilities to successfully destroy enemy targets.

"In September, 1107 out of 1339 UAVs were destroyed while others were listed as either lost in location or having changed course and flown back to the Russian terrorists," explained the expert.

It was recently reported that Russia has already started independently producing a strike drone, a Shahed prototype that will operate on a Chinese engine.

We also reported that in September, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced plans to increase drone production and create 50 specialized centers for this purpose.

Previously, aviation expert Kostiantyn Kryvolap stated that Russia may have deployed new production lines for Shaheds.

Analysts from the Institute for the Study of War shared the above opinion. They noted that in some cases the statistics show a multiple increase in the production of ammunition and attack drones.
