The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, reacted to information that the country is allegedly considering a ceasefire in exchange for guarantees from the Western alliance. He denied it.

The Ukrainian leader said this at a press briefing after meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron at the Élysée Palace on Thursday, October 10, as "Ukrinform" reports.

"This is not the topic of our discussions, no truces, we did not want to talk about it. I saw something like that in the media. Russia works a lot with the media, with this information, so everything is clear," the head of state said.

He hopes for support from France, as Ukraine faces a shortage of equipment.

Another issue discussed with Macron was the granting of permission to use "separate long-range munitions".

"Today, we do not have enough of our drones for long distances, so we are looking for funds for internal production, as well as certain permission from our partners," Zelenskyy added.

It should be recalled that Zelenskyy visited Paris, where he met with French leader Emmanuel Macron. This meeting took place in the Élysée Palace.

In addition, during today's meeting between Zelenskyy and British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, the leaders discussed the Ukrainian Victory Plan.
