Tu-134 plane burned down at military airfield in Russia — a video by the DIU

On the night of October 13, a devastating fire broke out at the Russian military airfield Orenburg-2. The occupants' transport aircraft Tu-134 burned down.

This was reported by the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine on Monday, October 14, with a video of the fire.

"On the night of October 12-13, 2024, a Tu-134 aircraft of the 117th military transport regiment of the armed forces of the aggressor state burned down in Russia," the statement said.  

The Intelligence Directorate reports that the devastating fire broke out at the Russian military airfield Orenburg-2, where the plane was based. No further details of the situation were given.

According to the intelligence, such Soviet-made aircraft are used, among other things, to transport the leadership of the Russian Defense Ministry. 

"The Defense Intelligence of Ukraine reminds that any crime against the Ukrainian people will be duly punished," the agency stressed. 

Previously, on October 13 an An-3 AK Borus multipurpose aircraft crashed in Yakutia, Russia. One of the passengers was killed. 

And in September, an An-2 plane crashed near Moscow. The crash occurred near the Vatulino airfield. The crash killed everyone on board.
