How the U.S. will support Ukraine after Biden
Ukraine will receive in full all the assistance decided by Congress and President Joe Biden. The Biden administration is committed to ensuring continued support for Ukraine even after his presidential term.
This was stated in an interview with CBS News by Jake Sullivan, National Security Advisor to the US President.
How the US will help Ukraine after Biden
Sullivan emphasized that the main goal of U.S. policy is to provide maximum support to Ukraine so that it can effectively defend itself against Russian aggression. The United States will continue to provide Ukraine with military assistance to strengthen its position on the battlefield. Ukraine should decide when and how to engage in negotiations with Russia, but the United States will stand by Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity.
The presidential adviser also assured that the United States has approximately $6 billion more to support Ukraine until January 20. Sullivan emphasized that the Biden administration will provide Ukraine with all the assistance approved by Congress and that the United States will continue its commitment even after the change of administration.
Sullivan noted that the US withdrawal of support for Ukraine could lead to greater instability in Europe, which in turn jeopardizes its commitments to allies, particularly in Asia. He emphasized that American support for Ukraine is critical not only for Ukraine itself, but also for the overall security of Europe.
Sullivan also emphasized that the Biden administration is committed to ensuring continued support for Ukraine even after his term, stressing the need to maintain constant resources to combat Russian aggression. He also said that support for Ukraine is part of a broader coalition that the United States has built among 50 countries.
As a reminder, the victory of Republican Donald Trump in the US election jeopardizes the supply of American weapons and ammunition to Ukraine. For this reason, the Biden administration is trying to send as much military aid as possible to our country before the inauguration of the new president.
Earlier, we wrote that CNN believes that Trump's second term will be radically different. He has surrounded himself with advisors and officials who fully share and support his political views.
