 Ukraine will receive Mirage 2000 fighter jets from France. It has been revealed when the first deliveries will take place.

This was announced by the head of the Ministry of Defense, Sébastien Lecornu, on the social network X.

According to Sébastien Lecornu, the delivery of the fighters to Ukraine is scheduled for the first quarter of 2025. In the meantime, the aircraft will be upgraded at the Gironde plant.

"Mirage 2000s destined for Ukraine: delivery is still scheduled for the first quarter of 2025. At the Cazaux plant in Gironde, they will be fitted with new equipment: air defense and electronic warfare systems. Training of Ukrainian pilots and mechanics is underway," Lecornu wrote.

Previously, in June 2024, the French president announced the transfer of Mirage 2000 fighters to Ukraine and the launch of a pilot training program.
